Which action hero (v. 2.0!) would I be, huh? [25 Feb 2006|06:21pm]
You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. Roguish, quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe it's brains, maybe it's genius, or maybe it's just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three.

St. Dymphna's: The Movie!

Well. What was actually supposed to be a movie poster sorta (through much laziness and bad time management) degraded into something... else. After much googling, cutting of images, maniacal laughter and head/desk contact, I finally created a poster of what might happen if a very, very wealthy someone or other decided to make St. Dymphna's into a movie.

Ahem. Working with the rule that whoever was chosen to portray the characters must be a famous actor/actress, there are two versions of the poster. There is the guess-who's-who one and the finished product with names attached, which shall be posted after a few people have made their guesses. Yes. Just match the names to the celebrities and... that's about it. Here's who you have to work with:

Toby Thorncutter
Balthazar Swaggle
Jess Burton
Paracelsus Switch
Sarah Lovesy
Chantale Whitehorn
Catherine Alridge
Charlene Rossi
Larissa Miller

And if you wanna throw out any other suggestions for actor/character combinations, please do. The only catch is that it has to be someone who is really well known (and that's harder than it seems when you have to match looks as well).

Let the guessing begin!

Note: If the site up top didn't work, here's another link.

((OOC!)) [16 Jan 2006|08:34pm]
[ mood | excited ]

I finally, finally, finally found a picture of a Chantale look-alike (regardless of the definately not-blue eyes and my growing attachment to my long standing icon), and, of course, I just had to share it. With many a squee at the fact that not only is there one photo, but loads of them, here are a few of my favourites:

3
4
5

Coincidentally, I also found a few which remind me of an older Charlene, perhaps:

And the red hair/hazel-ish eyes caught my attention, even though there's something not quite Catherine-y about it:

...Yea. That's all. :P

This is ridiculous. New Year's was insane, and this morning is just as weird.

How could I fancy Balthazar Swaggle?

Completely, totally, and unbelievably OOC. [20 Aug 2005|11:56pm]

Now it's my turn to make my excuses and bow out for two weeks or so. :P I'm leaving tomorrow for the maritime provinces and I'll be back on September 5th-ish, if I'm lucky. Mmm, just wanted to post in case anyone wondered where I'd disappeared to.

I bid you adieu for now!

Hem. OOC.

Using Google (or some other search engine) try to find a picture of a person that looks like your character. It can be them at any age, and prefferably a photo instead of a hand drawn picture or something from a cartoon. (:

Bloody idiotic new rules. Why would they start caring about our safety now? It's not like anybody's been killed, or even badly injured.

Etiquette class was yet another waste of time, with that Baruffio girl kissing up to Professor Hilliard the whole time. Cesca was being amusing and standing on the table while singing pirate songs for the beginning of the class. Till she got detention, anyway. And then, of course, we got an assifgnment to write some sort of bloody essay on 'proper and improper topics of conversation while at a tea party'.

I rather like how the enemy thing turned out, but the rest is completely and utterly wrong. As usual, really.

I hope they tell us who won the elections today. It feels like we voted ages ago.

The Lady
You scored 39% Cardinal, 25% Monk, 52% Lady, and 45% Knight!

Chaste and pure, you are a good person. You try to help others and do
your duty to your family. However, this duty involves you being sold
off to a local noble house in order to cement relations between your
families. But you know it's for a greater good, and besides you will
retain all the comforts and glamour of your position regardless of if
you're your father's or your husband's property.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 67% on Cardinal
You scored higher than 7% on Monk
You scored higher than 58% on Lady
You scored higher than 72% on Knight

Christ. That's the last one I'd have guessed.

If I don't come out of this alive, you can blame everything on Burton. Really.
